The chocolate mousse, doctor's order!

This fabulous mousse is an amazing healthy dessert for when you are just treating yourself or your dinner guests. And it cannot be simpler to make!


Ingredients:

1 ripe banana

Half cup of frozen avocados 

3 tsp of cocoa powder or chocolate protein powder 

2 tsp of sugar replacement or more if you love sugar

Homemade chia pudding (optional)- 2-3 tsp of chia seeds and 50mls of plant-based milk

Topping of your choice. I have raspberries, goji berries and dried mulberries here. 


How to:

  1. Optional: make your chia pudding a few hours before. This is very easy simply add the chia seeds to the milk and stir well, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 

  2. Mix all the other ingredients into a blender then pour into a container that you would serve your pudding in.

  3. Refrigerate for an hour

  4. Optional: for layering, pour some of the chia pudding on top of the chocolate mousse, then lay more mousse onto this. 

  5. Add toppings and serve! Drizzle any healthy syrup or melted dark chocolate on top if you have a sweet tooth
